Self-Love Practices to Keep Your Business a High Vibing Success
I can see it now. You’re clear with what you want, but you’re murky on how to make it happen. It’s so much easier to see the overall vision than it is to see the steps to get there. Maybe you know what you want in your perfect ideal life, and business, but to get there? There are so many obstacles, mindset beliefs, magic bullets, and shiny objects to challenge you on your way. The last thing you should do is give up or put yourself in a self-depreciating pit of gloom and doom.
Self-love will help you keep the success and positive mindset so you don’t derail. It can literally help your business! Imagine if you gave yourself that kind of permission. Imagine if, instead of saying you didn’t have time, you told yourself that self-love practices keep your business healthy and necessary for your success? How would that shift your perspective? How would that help empower you?
Here are some of my self-love practices, and why I love them. On the surface, it might seem flimsy, but they’re essential for me to keep a little bit sane and not have a breakdown/meltdown to derail my business goals and growth.
1. Have orgasms
Notice I said orgasms and not sex. It’s about quality. It’s also about not leaving out people who are single. Because you can do this yourself! Or with a partner or partners if that’s what you’re into. Truth be told, if you’re a stress case, one of the last things you might want to do is get it on with yourself or a partner. But that’s what keeps the stress cycle going. You’ve got to release, and this is one way to do it! Having orgasms keeps you connected to yourself, your lover, and ultimately, your work. We want to get you closer to connection, not further away. Orgasms are a great way to start.
Writing is a form of therapeutic meditation, and there are so many ways you could uplevel your mindset just by journalling. You could start by journalling through your feelings, journaling a gratitude list to make you feel better, or even journaling some affirmations over and over again. You can also journal your future vision and act as if. Write it down as though it’s already happened–in the present tense! Another option is to journal through questions, and write down answers as if your higher self were answering (or perhaps your future self). These question and answer sessions can become insightful “biz meetings with source” to help you tap into your intuition and inner wisdom.
Take yourself out on a date! Solo or partnered, celebrate! Make a special day for a special occasion. You are going to celebrate your future successes as if they’ve already happened! Treat yo’ self NOW! Act as if. I like to go on a special dinner date and eat a fancier meal, not something I would eat every day, add cocktails or wine, and order dessert to top it off. Because celebration means having your cake and eating it, too! Verbally declare everything you accomplished in the present tense as though they’ve already happened (because you bet yo’ booty they WILL!). Cheers! Salud! Prost!
4. Go out for a run or walk
After running a 10k race and a 5k two weekends in a row, I’ve recently rediscovered my joy for running. It’s a movement meditation. A way to both clear my mind and let it wander. It’s also a way to formulate ideas, have a-ha moments, or generally get inspired. Movement in your life means movement in your business. You can’t keep going if your energy is stuck, so move! Literally. Shake things up, and change your scenery. Take a break from the computer, and take a stroll. Your body and mind will thank you.
Have a cuppa’ and read a book
I love drinking tea and curling up to a good book. Recently, I just created a small ‘book nook’ corner in my living space. It’s cozy, and it makes me feel good to have some ‘me’ time. Tea helps me relax, reminds me to slow down, and enjoy the quiet. I’m an introvert, after all. There’s an endearing social media meme from a Johnny Cash quote when asked for his idea of paradise. “This morning, with her, having coffee.” Maybe I’m a hopeless romantic, but it’s truly the simple things that keep me content. Slow down to speed up in your biz by drinking your favorite beverage.
