7 Self-Care Rituals to Do Before You Launch Your Digital Course
You’ve created an e-book and want to create a digital course with worksheets and modules that compliments it.
That sounded like a great idea at first, but now you’re crazymaking and trying to wrangle all the bits and pieces to get the digital course DONE and launched. Your inbox is full of emails from your designer and your VA, you can’t stop tweaking the sales page, and the sales emails? Nope, they aren’t even written yet.
Slow it down. Chill•lax.
Here’s a thought:

The truth? Even though it seems superfluous, It’s essential to have a self-care practice to be successful in your business. You gotta keep YOU up in order to keep your business up. It’s a mindset game, so like it or not, self-care keeps the vibe up.
Here are seven of my favorite ways to add self-care to my week, and I hope that they help you be on your A-Game, too.
1.) Take a Himalayan Pink Salt Bath
My latest self-care magic ritual is a Himalayan Pink Salt Bath. I do it at least once a month! Not only are they incredibly relaxing, they’re also great detoxes for your body. So much so that Google tells me it’s the equivalent of a 3 day fast! And that just sounds impressive. All I need to know is that it’s healing, and I’m on board. It’s refreshing and energizing.
If I’m being really honest, I must say that it makes my pussy feel amazing. Which makes sense, it’s pink salt, right? Clever. If I feel sore down there or if I feel like a UTI is about to come down, I swear pink salt makes it all better. And no amount of Googling has taught me that.
A happy pussy is a happy body is a happy business. That’s all I’m saying. Because I gotta bring it back to the ‘biz’ somehow and that’s how it’s going down.
When I need a little down time to make all the stressful things go away, even just for 30 minutes, I take a Himalayan pink salt bath to make it all better. I’ve also read it’s good to coincide these baths with the lunar cycle, and the affect is a lot stronger when you take them on the nights of a full and new moon. That makes me think it’d also be extra lovely before your period or even during it.
A Himalayan pink salt bath is my best defense to shut out the world, let go of stress, and feel ready and reinvigorated to tackle my to-do list as soon as I step out of the tub and air dry naked.
2.) Drink a Green Smoothie
I’ve been drinking green smoothies regularly for over a decade, and it’s my favorite way to conquer the day. My tried and true simple recipe? Coconut water, spinach leaves, and a banana. That’s it. It tastes amazing. Add blueberries and/or avocado and you’re extra awesome. I never became a coffee addict, but I love green tea and anything green really (wink wink, I’m from Oregon).
3.) Set an Intention with an Oracle Deck
I live in Portland, Oregon. The place everyone wants to move to. People kept telling me to check out the Renaissance Book Store, a magical place that sells self-help/personal growth/spirituality books and tarot decks! I went there this weekend with a team member to buy a deck and include more magic into my business experience.
I like oracle decks vs. tarot cards because it’s the perfect way to pull out one card each day to set the day’s intention rather than figure out an entire tarot spread.
Set the intention for your digital course launch, and have fun with it. Meditate on the card you pull. Journal around it. Drink a cup of tea or your favorite beverage (perhaps a green smoothie).
This is your time to add magic into your everyday routine.
4.) Eat Chocolate and Read Erotica
I eat chocolate every day. Despite that, I am within normal range of body weight. My favorite chocolate is Wei of Chocolate. These vegan, organic, gluten free delights make me feel better about myself. Because eating chocolate (at least dark chocolate) is healthy, good for you, and even helps manage weight loss and keep up your A-Game at the gym.
What’s amazing about Wei of Chocolate is that it focuses on intention and makes chocolate a meditative experience. Affirmations like Gratitude, Joyful, Radiance, Beautiful coincide with flavors like Chai spice, Orange, Mint and other flavors blended in with flower essence recipes to aid in optimal performance – like launching your digital course!
Eating chocolate, and having a sensual experience, whether it’s reading erotica (for the more palatable option), masturbating and watching porn (as a raunchier option), or taking a break with your partner helps increase endorphins, and increase your energy levels, so you can get cracking on that course! As I like to say:
Money doesn’t come until you come, hon.
5.) Work on Affirmations
Everyone has a different way to do affirmations, so pick what works for you. Whether you say them out loud in front of the mirror, meditate on them with mala prayer beads, or reflect in a journal, the most important factor is repetition. Repeat the mantra or words of affirmation out loud, in your head, or on paper to work on changing your mindset to one of abundance.
I know I’m not the first one to remind you that mindset is an important key for the entrepreneurial journey. When life is up and down, and you go back and forth between feeling like a failure (hint: failure is the same as success), and feeling like a badass, it’s important to keep yourself as positive as you can. Affirmations help.
6.) Do Movement Meditation
I have an aversion to the words exercise and workout, which is why I prefer the term movement meditation. Movement meditation means different things to different people. It could be simply walking, going for a run, doing yoga, or dance. Overall, it’s a way for you to connect more deeply with your body, tap into your creative flow, and get into your zone of brilliance.
Connecting with your body on a spiritual level lets your inner intuition focus on what will serve you at the highest level. When doing movement meditation, ask yourself what your body most wants you to know.
Some questions that may be useful for you are: What one task do I need to focus on? What next step should I do?
Movement meditation helps you get clarity, and focuses your mind on the tasks at hand.
7.) Have a Coming Out Party
For an extrovert, a coming out party might look a whole lot different than an introvert. Party is whatever feels good to you. If you want to create a group event to promote your new digital course, or just want to celebrate with a close friend or two, it’s important to acknowledge the celebrations, and dream about future celebrations later on. (Yep,you can celebrate those, too!)
For special events, the beginning of the month, or just because, I like to go to a nice restaurant and celebrate future events as if they already happened. Chances are, by setting that intention for them happening, you start to work towards the eventual future coming true. A coming out party, whether it’s a big event, or even just yourself in a room with a periscope feed, allows you to celebrate where you are now and where you want to be.
With these 7 tips, you can launch your digital course with less stress and more intention. Remember, as Marianne Williamson says, “Everything is infused with the energy in which you do it”, so attempt to do everything with ease, love, and fun.
